The tranquillity of Iceland‘s wilderness and the abundance of geothermal pools makes it the perfect destination for wellness tours. We can put together tours were the focus is for example yoga or meditation and combine it with hiking, visits to geothermal pools and lagoons.
Sample: 7-day running itinerary
Arrival in Iceland. Preliminary meeting at hotel in the late afternoon. For those that arrive early in the day can join our team on a run around Reykjavik.
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from hotel in the early morning. During this day we will be doing a race presentation, safety briefing and also a Race Pack and BIB delivery. We’ll take time to go through every single detail of the program and different stages while enjoying the landscape on our drive. Once we arrive at hotel we get settled and get ready for an opening first stage at sunset in order to stretch your legs after a long day of traveling.
Today we tun along the volcanic tracks and trails of Southern Iceland. We shall run in the morning and travel afterwards, exploring some of the great attractions along the way.
Today’s stage takes us along a splendid rocky trail with plenty of ups and downs overlooking the majestic glaciers of South Iceland. In the afternoon we have time to explore parts of Vatnajokull National Park including the glacier lagoon. You can expect a lot of driving today.
Dirt roads and tracks through the lava fields up to the top of a volcano and along the stunning Domadalur Valley. The stage ends in the beautiful Landmannalaugar nature reserve where it will be possible to relax and enjoy the natural hot springs. We return to hotel in the late afternoon.
Today’s stage is a really scenic mountain track going deep into Katla Geopark. After this stage we have a prize ceremony before returning back to Reykjavik. We end our journey with a late evening tour in the city centre of Reykjavik where it will be possible to experience and enjoy the lively Icelandic nightlife.
